Welcome to the Pound Lane Open Space web site!

This is the website of the Pound Lane Open Space Action Group, a campaign by Local Residents to turn the Pound Lane Open Space into a Park for the people of Thatcham, Berkshire.

We have in the past couple of years campaigned for the newly rebuilt children's playground on Pound Lane Open Space. Originally our organisation was created to fight council plans to build houses on our open space, which was successful in 2003, with the granting of a 99 year lease to Thatcham Town Council and creation of a wild flower meadow on the central area of the ground.

For the latest information, please see the News page for more details.
